About The Department
Serving Our Community
The Cedaredge Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1913 and currently consists of 19 volunteer firefighters and 2 cadet firefighters responding out of one main station in Cedaredge and a substation in Orchard City. The department protects a 300-square-mile area of the Surface Creek Valley stretching from the Gunnison River to the top of Grand Mesa.

Elected Board of Directors
All board member terms are four years with elections held in odd years. The board meets every 4th Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Cedaredge Fire Station upstairs room. *November and December meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday to accommodate the holidays.
