FIRE SAFETY FAQS
Answers To Your Questions
Please consult our list of frequently asked questions for guidance and information. If you still have additional questions after going through our list, please email cedaredgefire@gmail.com or contact the station at (970) 856-3456.
For the latest regulation on red flag days and open burning contact the Delta County Burn line at (970) 399-2955
Do I have to inform someone if I will be burning?
Yes, anytime you are to burn you must call the Delta County Burn Line at (970) 399-2955 to determine if open burning is allowed that day and to register the contact information and address of the fire. This information can help dispatchers determine if the fire is under control and supervised in the event a fire is reported. This can help keep the Fire Department from coming to your address unnecessarily and keep emergency services available. This includes but is not limited to large camp or bonfires, agricultural burns, ditch burning, etc.
I'd like to volunteer - What do I need to do?
Email cedaredgefire@gmail.com with your inquiry, fill out the questionnaire in the about page, or stop by the station anytime the doors are open to request an application.
Where is the closest station located?
The Delta County Fire Protection District #3 has two station locations. Station 1 is located at 210 South Grand Mesa Drive in Cedaredge Colorado and is our main station. The Orchard City Substation is located just east of the intersection of 2100 RD and Austin Rd in Orchard City Colorado. These stations are not manned as we are a volunteer only department.
